It is possible to make over 700(SF)bhp with this motor with enough camshaft duration, but the long stroke lenght is better suited to making torque.
The Dart Iron Eagle Block makes these big block small blocks possible, with their .300 raised camshaft location and 9.325 deck height, allowing for more crankshaft clearance and longer rods. The oil pan rails have also been widen so this engine takes a special oil pan, distributor drive, timing chain set, intake manifold spacers and because it is really a racing block it will require a remote oil filter. So if your got the bucks, we've got the inches!

For a high revving BHP monster using this block with a 4.00" stroke 6.250 rod and 1.070" piston is the ticket.
For maximum torque a 4.300'' stroke, 6.100" rod and 1.070 piston works.

The heads deliver high airflow numbers—334 cfm intake/246 cfm exhaust 56cc combustion chambers, 250cc raised intake and 100cc exhaust runners, 2.15"/1.625" valves 1.55" dual valve springs, and 10° retainers and locks.
They require the use of offset shaft mount rocker arms and a mechanical roller camshaft with offset intake lifters.
