M-6007-B50 $3100 5.0L/302 GT-40 - 320 HP Street/Strip Aluminum Head This 5.0L HO long block is the perfect starting point for a street/strip engine. The Y303 aluminum GT-40 heads are greatly improved over the production 5.0L heads and are fitted with swirl polished 1.940” and 1.540” valves with undercut stems. The hydraulic roller B303 camshaft provides 320 horsepower and a nice flat torque curve. May require timing cover and/or water pump, damper, oil pan and pick-up to be reused from your original engine. For automatic transmission equipped cars use part number M-6007-B51.

M-6007-B51 $3200 5.0L/302 GT-40 - 315 HP Street/Strip Aluminum Head The Y302 aluminum GT-40 heads are greatly improved over the production heads 5.0L heads and are fitted with swirl polished 1.940” and 1.540” valves with undercut stems. The hydraulic roller E303 camshaft provides good low end torque and is specifically suited for automatic transmissions. A new long block assembly, built at Ford's Cleveland engine plant. It goes down the same production line as 5.0L HO engines, and is built with the same quality controls as a new production engine. With minor modifications it will also fit earlier models and vehicles with automatic transmissions.

A new current production long block assembly that includes the block, crank, rods, pistons, timing chain, standard rocker arms, roller tappets, push rods, oil pump and pickup, oil pan, valve covers, front cover, water pump, flywheel, spark plugs and related long block engine parts-to which SVO engineers have added:

SVO GT-40 aluminum cylinder heads M-6049-Y302. They flow significantly better than production 5.0L HO heads.
SVO GT-40 valve train kit. It includes springs, retainers, keepers, seals and premium stainless steel swirl polished valves with undercut stems. Intake valve diameter is 1.94" and exhaust valve diameter is 1.54".

The M-6007-XB3 includes an SVO high performance hydraulic roller camshaft M-6250-B303 which provides significant horsepower increases above 4000 RPM and good low-end torque. Valve lift is .480" on both intake and exhaust. Duration at .050" is 224 degrees on both the intake and exhaust.

The M-6007-XE3 includes SVO high performance hydraulic roller camshaft M-6250-E303. It provides significant horsepower increases above 2500 RPM and good low-end torque. Valve lift is .498" on both intake and exhaust. Duration at .050" is 220 degrees on both the intake and exhaust.

Some or all of the following items may need to be changed from your original engine or modified for proper installation:
This engine has a front sump oil panand pickup, Explorer "short style" timing cover and water pump, Explorer harmonic damper and EFI valve covers.
The front sump oil pan may work for many late 60's and early 70's Ford passenger cars.
The Explorer timing chain cover may work for 1994-95 Mustang, and 5.0L Explorer. For other applications use your original. M-6059-D351 replacement front cover may work for most other common applications.
The water pump included may work for 5.0L Explorer.
The valve covers included should work for most Mustang EFI applications.
The damper may need to be changed to your original 1981 or newer (part number E4TZ-6316-A).
The flywheel included should work for most 157-tooth manual transmission applications. For C-4 or A0D automatic transmissionapplications use your 1981 or newer flexplate or order E2AZ-6375-A from your local Ford Dealer for a 164-tooth flexplate.
Distributor with steel gear should be used to be compatible with the camshaft included in the engine.

The 385hp crate engine uses the same base short block and the X305 aluminum cylinder heads as the 360hp version. The added power comes from the upgraded camshaft, the Z303 hydraulic roller, and the single plane Victor Jr intake. This is the perfect street/strip weekend warrior performance engine. Note; Headers, carburetor, air cleaner, and plug wires are NOT included. This part number has a water pump for a serpentine drive system.

A single plane Victor Jr intake is include with this long block assembly. Here it is, 514 cubic inches with 600 horsepower! The all new 514 cubic inch assembly starts as a 460 2-bolt main block with a nodular iron stroker crank, H-beam connecting rods, forged aluminum dished pistons and a mechanical roller lifter camshaft.

The Ford Racing 'Cobra-Jet' aluminum cylinder heads flow significantly better than production 460 heads and feature a Jon Kaase port design and include premium stainless steel swirl polished valves (2.20/Intake, 1.76/exhaust) with undercut stems. With a combustion chamber volume of 72cc, the compression ratio comes up to 9.8:1.

The High performance solid roller mechanical camshaft provides significant horsepower increases above 3500 rpm and good low-end torque.
