All Pricing is now out of date (2007)

The Stroker Engine Company offers these GM Crate motors to provide a broad selection of engine options, and because they are great value. I don't make much money on these motors, nor do the dealerships that offer them at these low prices. Because I do not pay freight in these motors you need to figure adding $330 to the price to ship it out site the general Los Angeles Orange County area.

These motors may carry a GM warranty, some do some don't. I can provide a TSEC warranty if you have me start and break in the motor. Phone me for the details.

Ask me about other options, as while it is tight to match these prices, for just a little more money I maybe able to supply a more powerful engine. 760-247-0690

 12486041 - 350  330hp

 GM LIST: $3,328.57
 TSEC PRICE: $2930

The lowest priced performance crate engine, the 330 horsepower 350 HO doesn't sacrifice power or durability, it just pumps up the value. With its 4-bolt main block, nodular iron crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods and light but strong cast aluminum pistons, this engine screams durability. Add to the strong foundation a pair of 64cc Vortec cast iron cylinder heads and a dual pattern camshaft with just a bit of a "lumpy" idle, and you've got the muscle car small block that you've been looking for. Dressed to impress with chrome valve covers and front timing cover, this engine will look great between the fenders of your favorite street rod, muscle car or grass roots racer. The cylinder heads on this great little performer use 1.94" intake and 1.50" exhaust valves that are sprung with 1999 corvette L31 valve springs. The 64cc chambers yield a healthy, yet streetable 9.1 to 1 compression ratio. The cam is a modern dual pattern interpretation of the old '65 to '67 corvette 327 cam. But with more lift and duration on the exhaust side, it does a better job of clearing exhaust from the combustion chamber. We also decreased the duration and lift ever so slightly on the intake side to build more cylinder pressure. The result is a cam that makes great torque and horsepower with the 350 HO's 9.1 to 1 compression ratio. Add the new dual plane intake manifold GM# 12366573, 600-650 cfm carburetor, HEI distributor, balancer, water pump and exhaust manifold or a pair of headers and you have an outstanding muscle motor with a broad, smooth torque curve and an honest 330 horsepower. This manifold has four bolts, not six, to attach it to the cylinder head. Older six-bolt manifolds will not fit the new Vortec heads. The 350 HO is not intended for marine use, and should only be used in 1973 and earlier pre-emissions street vehicles or any year off road vehicles.
Technical Notes:   Engine ID code is CC. Requires a counterweighted flywheel or flexplate, (GM Part#'s 10105832, 14088646, 14088650, 14088765, or 14088767).  Requires either a 6.75" (GM# 6272221) or 8" (GM#12551947) harmonic balancer. Oil dipstick located on right side (passenger's). 650 cfm carb recommended. Chrome valve cover's and timing cover included. Intake manifold, distributor, flywheel, harmonic balancer, water pump, and exhaust manifolds are not included.

24502609 - ZZ4 350 355HP

 GM LIST: $5,357.14

TSEC PRICE: $4350

Imagine an aluminum head small block that makes 355 horsepower. What if it had a street roller camshaft, 4-bolt main block, 1053 forged steel crankshaft, high silicon pistons and strong PM connecting rods ? We imagined it, and then engineered, developed, tested and built it. The ZZ4 is the evolution of our popular ZZ series of small blocks that power thousands of street rods, hot street cars, circle track racers and drag racers. With over 400 Ft-Lbs of torque, the ZZ4 is the best way to put an aluminum head, roller cam, high performance small block between your favorite fenders. The aluminum angle plug cylinder heads have screw in rocker studs, 1.94" intake and 1.50" exhaust valves and 58cc combustion chambers that yield a crisp and responsive 10 to 1 compression ratio. Also included are our lightweight valve spring retainers that weigh half as much as our previous design. The valve seats are radiused and we have included valve stem seals to help keep the oil where it belongs. To compliment the cylinder head design, we've incorporated a steel roller tappet camshaft with .474" intake and .510" exhaust valve lift. The combination makes 355 horsepower at 5250 rpm and has that great sounding muscle car idle, with just enough lope to let people know this is no station wagon engine. Also included with the ZZ4 is an HEI distributor with an ignition timing advance curve developed for performance, a dual plane aluminum intake manifold that accepts your spread bore or square bore carburetor, an 8" high-rpm harmonic balancer, 12.75" automatic trans flex plate and a cast iron water pump. It even has the spark plugs in it when it was test fired at the factory for quality control checks. The ZZ4 is currently our most popular crate engine, and you can see why. With a long history of successes in circle track and drag racing as well as street rods and other performance applications, the ZZ4 may just be the bullet for your next project. The ZZ4 is not intended for marine use, and should only be used in 1973 and earlier pre-emissions street vehicles or any year off road vehicle. Technical Notes: Carb, plug wires, starter, oil filter and oil filter adapter, and exhaust manifolds not included.

 GM LIST: $6,128.58
TSEC PRICE: $4900

With more ZZZ through ZZ4 crate engines sold over the years than any other high performance crate engine, it only makes sense that GMPP would continue to improve that successful family of engines. The new Fast Burn 385 uses the proven ZZ4 shortblock and ads to it the Fast Burn aluminum cylinder heads for 385 value packed horsepower. With value in mind, the Fast Burn 385 uses stamped steel rocker arms and the same ZZ4 camshaft that powers thousands of hot rods. The Fast Burn 385 is an excellent choice for the basis of a custom engine. Its strong forged steel crankshaft and forged powder metal connecting rods have been proven to 500 horsepower. And its Fast Burn cylinder heads are hungry for a little more cam. 430 horsepower at 6000 RPM is achievable by adding the HOT cam and 1.6 ratio self aligning rocker arms. Value priced small-block power, great durability, easy power upgrades. It's all that and more from the "More Than Just Power"  people at GMPP. Gm's Best Alumum Heads $1600
12464298 - Cylinder Head "Aluminum Fast Burn"

210cc Intake Port 78cc Exhaust Port 62cc Combustion Chamber

This head can be used on any 1958-2000 283-400ci small block Chevrolet V8 engine with conventional water flow design but this head cannot be used on any LT1 LT4 or LS1 engines that are designed with reverse water flow.

The all new 23 degree small block cylider head has the highest perfprmance potential of any 23 degree small block head developed by GM.

The Fast Burn head combines new technologies with the best of GM motorsports and production cylinder head technologies. The design creates tremendous power on engines from 350 to over 434ci.

The name Fast Burn refers to the heads ability to quickly and completely burn the air furl mixture resulting in higher cylinder pressures and more power. The shape of the combustion chamber is designed to accomplish this Fast Burn with flat top pistons so flat top pistons are recommended with this cylinder head. It is not recommended that the combustion chamber be modified or reshaped as this could decrease the efficiency of the chamber.

The head is designed with a .400" deck. This new technology removes material from other portions of the head allowing for considerably larger ports and water jacketing. The deck also provides unsurpassed clamping force for cylinder head gasket retention. The super rigid .400" deck thickness can be machined down to .340" safely for all-out performance applications and higher compression. Other ways to ajust compression ratio with the Fast Burn head include top of piston design and piston installed height.

Unlike the GM Performance Parts Bow Tie heads and most aftermarket performance heads this head requires no additional porting for maximum performance. In the past the industry has added material to heads to allow substantial porting which can result in poor out of box perfprmance and additional cost. The Fast Burn head utilizes GM Performance Parts Cast-Ported technology which means that improvements in flow combustion and cylinder fill were incorporated into the machining tooling achieving maximum performance out of box. Additional porting is recommended for all out race applications. Polishing of combustion chambers and exhaust ports is acceptable. All Fast Burn heads are CNC machined to exacting tolenances thus eliminating the need for the blue-printing of machined tolerences resulting in a cost savings and unsurpassed out of box perfprmance

. This head has taller than typical rocker cover rails providing exceptional clearance for rocker arms and valve train supports typically used in all out performance applications. The rocker rails are CNC machined for superior rocker cover gasket sealing. Front head faces are drilled and tapped for typical accessory drive bracketry.

The Fast Burn head accepts both center bolt and early style four bolt flange mount valve covers.

Signature etched with GM Performance Parts logo. Intake manifold mating surfaces are drilled and tapped for both Vortec and conventional raised port style manifolds.

Vortec style manifolds are recommended.

D shaped 78cc exhaust port and runners provide adequate flow for applications well in excess of 500hp. Raising the top of the intake valves provides a better line of sight through the port and onto the back side of the intake valves.

The Fast Burn head utilizes GM Performance Parts' Cast-Ported technology, which means that improvements in flow, combustion and cylinder fill were incorporated into the machining tooling, achieving maximum performance "out-of-box". While additional porting is not recommended, light sanding to remove minor casting imperfections and polishing of combustion chambers and exhaust ports is acceptable. All Fast Burn heads are CNC machined to exacting tolerances, thus eliminating the need for "blue-printing" of machined tolerances, resulting in a cost savings and unsurpassed "out-of-box" performance. This head has taller than typical rocker cover rails, providing exceptional clearance for rocker arms and valve train supports typically used in all out performance applications.

"D" shaped 78cc exhaust port and runners provide adequate flow for applications well in excess of 500 hp. Raised runner (.240" higher than conventional 23? head) intake ports with 210cc ports and runners provide adequate flow for applications well in excess of 500 hp. Raising the top of the intake valves provides a better "line-of-sight" through the port and onto the back side of the intake valves.

The 62cc fast burn combustion chambers - the most efficient ever to be incorporated on a GM Performance Parts cylinder head - produce higher cylinder pressures by burning more of the available fuel before the piston starts its power stroke downward. By more completely using available fuel, the engine produces more power per quantity of fuel. The 2.00" hollow stem lightweight intake valves are utilized to reduce loads on valve train systems at high rpm's. The 1.55" sodium filled lightweight exhaust valves have all the same benefits of the hollow stem intake valves and additionally they are able to perform under extremely high-temperature performance applications.

Lightweight valve springs retainers combine with the lightweight valves to help ensure long-term high rpm durability.Screw-in 3/8" rocker studs are used and accept most available roller rocker arms. Uses all conventional low cost readily available 23 degree self-aligning rocker arms and valve train supports and hardware. If conventional non-self aligning rocker arms are used with guideplates rocker arm studs must be changed to 12495497(or equivelent) or else intererence will exist between the hex of the stud and the bottom of the rocker arm.

This head ia a bolt-on 30hp increase when used on the ZZ4 crate engine.

Total ignition timing to be used on a Fast Burn head will vary based on a number of factors but most configurations made the most power with 32 to 34 degree of total timing.

Use intake manifold P/N 12496820 12366573 12496822 10051103 with the Fast Burn cylinder head. or ED2116ED7116ED7516ED2913 Intake manifolds.

Use intake manifold gasket P/N 12529094 and eight attaching bolts P/N 24504713.Coat ends of intake bolts with liquid teflon thread sealer or coolant leaks will result.

Use Fel-Pro exhaust gasket P/N 1407 for these Fast Burn heads.
