For the ultimate street LS1/LS6 aluminum cylinder head AFR’s all new 205cc emission legal head are your only choice. Specifically designed for 1995 to present Gen-3 Chevy Corvettes, Camaros, and trucks. AFR’s LS1 head offers unmatched flow performance (300 CFM at .600lift) and features 2.020 intake and 1.600 exhaust valves with AFR’s iron ductile interlocking valve seats. With only 205cc port volume (same as stock LS1 head) this is an incredibly 70 CFM increase over stock casting creating unbelievable port velocity and performance. The 205cc is ideal for normally aspirated 346C.I. to 396C.I. It is available with 66cc and 76cc combustion chambers. An affordable “as cast” version is also available. AFR’s LS1 is a direct bolt on, no special parts required. Structural features like Air Flow Research’s trademark 3/4” thick head deck, a must for blown and nitrous applications, reinforced rocker stud bosses, and thick wall runners provide unparalleled durability. An exclusive new modern combustion chamber design with double quench pad area helps the LS1 generate huge low and mid lift airflow numbers. If you need a snake charmer for that pesky neighborhood “Cobra Mustang” look no further.

Note:

Hydraulic roller cams typically experience valve float at 6000-6200 RPM because of their fast ramp rates. AFR suggest you upgrade your springs to AFR part #8019, 1.250 O.D. double with dampener valve spring with higher pressures(145lbs on seat, 390+lbs at .600 lift) to reduce the chances of valve float at higher RPM’s with the #8019 spring AFR recommends Comp Cams R style lifter.

  225cc LS1 Mongoose Strip Head

PN# 1610 $2400

The Ultimate Bolt-On Emission Legal Street/Strip Weapon

For the maximum street/strip LS1/LS6 aluminum cylinder head AFR’s all new 225cc emission legal head E/O #D250-4 are hands down the best choice. Specifically designed for 1995 to present Gen-3 Chevy Corvettes, Camaros, and trucks. AFR’s LS1 head offers unmatched flow performance and features 2.080 intake and 1.600 exhaust valves with AFR’s iron ductile interlocking valve seats. The 225cc is ideal for normally aspirated 396C.I. to 427C.I. For a wild 346 ci the 225 is a good choice, however some low RPM loss of torque might occur. It is available with 62cc and 72cc combustion chambers. An affordable “as cast” version is also available. AFR’s LS1 is a direct bolt on, no special parts required. Structural features like Air Flow Research’s trademark 3/4” thick head deck, a must for blown and nitrous applications, reinforced rocker stud bosses and thick wall runners provide unparalled durability. An exclusive new modern combination chamber design with double quench pad area helps the LS1 generate huge low and mid lift airflow numbers. If you need a snake charmer for that pesky neighborhood “Cobra Mustang” look no further!

Note:

Hydraulic roller cams in "LS" Gen III engines typically experience valve float at 6600-6800 RPM's. If your plan on running over .600 gross valve lift and/or 6600 RPM, AFR suggest you upgrade your springs to AFR part #8019. Our upgrade spring has higher seat and open pressures (145/390+) to better reduce the risk of valve float in more aggressive applications. AFR also recomends the use of Comp "R" lifters in conjunction with our 8019 spring upgrade.

Recommend application. Over 400cid,Over 7000rpm

 DART HEADS

Dart calls these Pro 1 LS1 cylinder heads a secret weapon. Using their proprietary "Speed Flow" technology and the same aircraft-quality 355-T6 aluminum used in their Pro Stock heads, Dart has produced these affordable, yet powerful LS1-type cylinder heads. Five-axis, CNC-blended combustion chambers generate improved airflow and flame propagation, which increase both power and torque. With two available intake-port sizes that flow very well as-cast, there is a choice for strong street performance, as well as one for maximum street performance or bracket racing. These heads have extra material on top for added flexibility to upgrade the valvetrain, and they're set up for big valves with bronze valve guides and hardened seats. They're available either bare or assembled, and they're drilled for stock accessories with stock port locations, so you can use stock components.

Trick Flow CNC-ported LS1 performance cylinder heads change the valve angles from 15 to 13.5 degrees, decreasing valve shrouding, and increasing mid-lift airflow and rocker arm to valve cover clearance. Further enhancements included relocating the spark plug position in the combustion chamber for better airflow, and the addition of material in critical rocker arm mounting points for an increase in high-rpm valvetrain stability. These heads come available in assembled or bare configurations, depending on your performance needs.

Competition Cams High Energy Hydraulic Roller Lifters $245
These High Energy hydraulic roller lifters are for use with the newly designed hydraulic roller cam series from Comp Cams, or as a performance replacement for stock hydraulic roller lifters. You must be certain that the lifter is correct for the type of block used. Good t0 about 6400rpm

Competition Cams Pro Magnum Hydraulic Roller Lifters $245

These Comp Cams Pro Magnum hydraulic roller lifters are specifically designed to perform at higher engine speeds. When engines are equipped with a hydraulic roller camshaft, high rpm is limited by the improper position of the internal piston, as the lifter inevitably "pumps up". This improper location results in broken valves, and therefore leads to lost power or sometimes even engine failure. These lifters offer a distinct advantage over standard high-performance hydraulic lifters, especially in race applications where a hydraulic lifter must be used.
