Why Supercharger? Supercharging will give your engine more torque and horsepower - helping your GM vehicle work harder.  Everyone uses his or her vehicle differently, but everyone who tows, drives in the mountains, or simply appreciates performance can benefit from the Magna Charger supercharger system.

Performance.   Whether your trailering a boat, horses, personal watercraft, tools and equipment or whatever..., Magna Charger will give your GM vehicle 35-125% more horsepower (depending on application), which makes it easier to accelerate from a stop light and merge onto a freeway or pass safer.

Proven Reliability.  Looking to trick out GM your vehicle?  This state-of-the-art supercharging system is based on the Eaton twin rotor, rear inlet roots type supercharger.  Eaton is the same company that supplies blowers as original equipment to companies like GM, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and Roush.  The Eaton superchargers have been proven to be exceptionally reliable and trouble-free.

How Does It Work?  In simple terms, an engine's ability to make power is directly proportionate to the amount of air and fuel that can be brought into the combustion chamber.  Putting more fuel in is easy.  It's like opening a faucet.  On the other hand, getting extra air into the chamber is a more difficult matter, since it's essentially "drawn" in.  The Magna Charger supercharger increases the displacement or "blows" more air into the engine.  This is called "forced induction," and it's widely used in racing, aviation and industry to extract maximum power from internal combustion engines.  You get the fuel economy of a smaller engine, with the power and horsepower of a larger, stronger engine.

What's Best For Racing Isn't Necessarily Best For The Street.  A racing engine is designed to provide peak performance for a certain period of time.  In drag racing it's a matter of seconds.  For oval track racing, it can be 500 miles.  That's nothing compared to the 100,000 plus miles that's expected of a street driven vehicle.  Magna Charger's primary criteria is to manufacture systems that produce a high specific power output for long-term highway use without engine damage or undue wear.

OEM Quality, Emission Compliant.  Each Magna Charger system is designed to strict OEM specifications and is completely integrated in today's compact engine compartments.  In addition, they are engineered to be 100% compatible with all factory emissions equipment.  Most Magna Charger systems are 50-state legal under C.A.R.B. EO # D-488, #D-488-1, #D-488-2, #D-488-3 and #D-488-5 (certification numbers vary upon application) and EPA exempted.

Unique Internal Bypass Valve.  The key feature of every Magna Charger system is the unique internal bypass valve.  This virtually eliminates the parasitic pumping loss of the supercharger under part throttle and cruise conditions.  For example, an Eaton M90 requires less than 1/3hp at 60 mph cruise.

Tested and Proven.  Extensive engine and engine chassis dynamometer testing, as well as on-track performance evaluations, shows Magna Charger systems to increase horsepower and torque from 35-125% on GM engines, depending upon application.  The Magna Charger supercharger system is a proven, reliable system, designed to maximize thermal efficiency.  Accordingly, it will produce more horsepower per pound of boost than any other forced induction system for street applications on the market today.

Complete and Easy To Install.  Ease of installation and maintenance is designed into every Magna Charger bolt-on supercharger kit:  maintenance is minimal due to integrated lubrication and self-adjusting belt drive system.  Every kit is 100% complete, including easy-to-follow illustrated installation manual; no special tools or fabrication are required.

All New Intercooled "RADIX-SSR" Supercharger System for the Chevrolet SSR

The supercharger has been spun around 180°, to better utilize the stock air path. The genius of this design is it keeps a straight airflow path into the supercharger inlet, which reduces friction and pumping losses. This all-new intercooled supercharger system utilizes the Magnuson MP112 supercharger with internal bypass valve. Power increases are expected to be around 100 HP and 100 ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheels, depending on the presence of aftermarket products and engine condition.

Intercooled systems are complete with all components necessary for installation. Included in the kit is a cast aluminum intake manifold (replacing the factory nylon manifold), intercooler core, coolant circulation pump, heat exchanger and all necessary hardware to complete the entire installation. This system does not require any hood modifications.

Other components included are new fuel injectors, fuel rails, factory “push lock connectors” and regulator adapter. Computer programmer communicates with the factory ECU for proper calibration of the supercharger system. Transmission shift points, line pressures and converter strategies are optimized for use with the increase in torque and horsepower.

Retro-Blessing" Supercharger System

Appropriately named “Retro-Blessing” this complete package starts with a new LQ4 6-liter Gen 3 engine including all accessories and brackets, with your choice of supercharger systems, (either the Inlet Forward Design or Rear Inlet Magna Charger Hot Rod supercharger set up), the new Heavy-Duty 4L65E transmission, wiring harness and pre-programmed computer.

Designed specifically to provide simple installation, and eliminate any and all problems associated with tuning an EFI motor in a high performance street rod.  Preprogrammed for a supercharged engine with a late model GM computer and wiring harness, this kit will allow the rod builder to plug in the computer and fuel pump - then simply turn the key and have a running supercharged EFI engine.  In excess of 500 horsepower is possible.  “Plug and run.”

Utilizing the automatic transmission 4L65E, shift points, shift firmness and torque converter lockup will also be addressed for proper shifting during hard acceleration and cruise situations.  This is a necessity when vehicle weight and mass are considerably different than that of a late model vehicle.  The 4L65E is also the latest heavy-duty transmission, chosen for its ability to handle the large amount of torque and horsepower this package will produce.

Kits will include a complete engine with brackets and accessories, injectors, transmission, supercharger, intake manifold, fuel rails, wiring harness and computer.  Supercharger systems are available with and without intercoolers. This kit is the only available system currently that provides turnkey start up of a late model supercharged, intercooled EFI engine.
