Twisted Wedge Heads SBF

Twisted Wedge heads are 50-state-emissions-legal for 1996 and earlier 289, 302, and 351W Fords! (CARB E.O. number D-369-1).

Twisted Wedge heads feature an exclusive combustion chamber design. The patented 61cc chambers feature rotated intake and exhaust valves moved over the center of the cylinder bores. As a result of optimizing the valve locations, valve angles, and combustion chamber shape, the Twisted Wedge heads use stock height exhaust ports without power loss.

The heads are machined for 2.02" intake/1.60" exhaust valves to build top end power without sacrificing bottom end torque. They don’t require flycut pistons for use with cams up to the specifications listed—no other 2.02"-valved head for small block Ford offers these features!

The Twisted Wedge heads are built for heavy duty use, too. They have .56" thick combustion chamber walls and fire deck for strength without compromising cooling capacity. Additional support risers are strategically located in the water jacket for additional rigidity and head gasket integrity.

Twisted Wedge heads have stock height intake and exhaust ports that allow the use of most OEM and aftermarket intake and exhaust manifolds. Fully assembled heads come with stainless steel valves (intakes are backcut for improved flow), valve springs, locks, retainers, rocker studs, and guide plates. The heads are also available as bare castings. Heads are sold in pairs. Heads are patented.

Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads are designed as an emissions-legal, high performance replacement for OEM cylinder heads. Modification of street heads for racing will void their warranty.

Track Heat Cylinder Heads SBF

Track Heat heads are ideal for the entry level bracket racer who needs more than our standard Twisted Wedge Street head, but doesn’t need to step up to the R-Series heads.

The Track Heat heads feature higher rate valve springs (125 lbs. seat pressure at 1.780" installed height), 10 degree super locks, and manganese bronze guides. The heads can handle cams up to .600" lift when used with Trick Flow forged race pistons.

Track Heat heads come fully assembled with stainless steel valves (intakes are backcut for improved flow), valve springs, locks, retainers, 7/16" studs, and guide plates. They are also available as bare castings. Heads are sold in pairs. For non-emissions applications only.

High Port Cylinder Heads SBF

Trick Flow’s High Port aluminum cylinder heads not only started the high performance small block Ford head revolution, they became one of the most dominant aftermarket heads in racing. Even today, you can still find vintage High Ports on some of the fastest Fords around.

And now we’ve brought them back! All of the things that made the original heads great are still here: patented valve spacing, raised exhaust ports, extra strong castings and thick decks for additional rigidity and gasket integrity, superior cooling characteristics, and most importantly, excellent airflow.

But to make the High Port heads even better, they’ve been updated with today’s cutting edge technology. The entry into the intake port has been reshaped to help seal the area along the port roof, and thicker port walls were designed to increase strength and provide more material for porting. Plus, interlocking ductile iron seats are used to handle the stresses of high heat, high horsepower applications.

Other features include 64cc combustion chambers for more complete combustion, large 192cc intake ports, and 87cc exhaust ports that have been raised .750" for increased flow. The heads are machined for 2.02" intake and 1.60" exhaust valves to build top-end horsepower, and come with bronze alloy valve guides.

They are available as bare castings with the valve seats and guides installed, or fully assembled with 2.02"/1.60" stainless steel valves, 1.460" valve springs, 7 degree machined steel locks, and chromemoly steel retainers.

R-Series Heads SBF

R-Series Aluminum Cylinder Heads for Small Block Ford
Made just for racing—the R-Series heads for 5.0L and 351W Ford feature the exclusive Twisted Wedge combustion chamber design. The 61cc chamber has the intake and exhaust valves rotated over the center of the cylinder bores. This unshrouds the intake valve and moves the spark plug closer to the center of the cylinder bore, increasing airflow and allowing for more complete combustion.

Complementing the combustion chambers are large 206cc intake ports, and exhaust ports that are raised .500" from stock. The heads are machined for 2.08" intake/1.60" exhaust valves. Combined, they provide 305 cfm intake and 222 cfm exhaust airflow at .720" of valve lift—right out the box (with recommended valve job and back cut intake valves). With a cartridge roll blend and polish job, those airflow figures increase to 325 cfm intake/254 cfm exhaust.

The R-Series heads have other race-ready features too: Additional material for porting, a .56" thick deck (available machined for Fel-Pro Loc-Wire head gaskets), intake port shaping compatible with Fel-Pro 1262 intake gaskets, stud mounts for rocker arms, spring pockets machined for 1.630" valve springs, and bronze valve guides already installed.
